AICA International Conference

Spectrum takes charge at International conference:

Spectrum Corporate Finance is pleased to announce that Simon Davies, Partner, has been elected President of its International M&A network, AICA (Alliance of International Corporate Advisors).  Simon and Clive Hatchard represented Spectrum at the recent AICA Global meeting in San Francisco.

Spectrum is the sole UK representative of AICA which consists of 38 similar corporate finance firms spread across the globe.  The network is truly international and at the conference there were representatives from all the firms which included members from as far afield as Australia, Japan, Brazil and Vietnam.  In addition it was the first meeting for a number of recently appointed and potential member firms as AICA continues to grow its network; these included Norway, Holland and India.

The member firms spent several days discussing current and potential transactions to ensure that the full cross-border opportunity can be delivered to their clients.  Spectrum has previously teamed up on joint mandates with AICA members from Spain, North America and Israel which ensures that it can deliver full international reach from its Thames Valley base.  It is currently involving members in Japan, Australia, Vietnam, France and North America on existing sales mandates in identifying and contacting potential buyers.

Clive Hatchard, Partner at Spectrum, said:
“The conferences are held twice a year and are invaluable as they ensure regular communication between the members and help build strong relationships which ultimately ensures a seamless international offering for our clients.  In the current economic climate, we are seeing increasing interest from overseas, especially the US where AICA is particularly strong with 14 member firms”.

Simon Davies was previously a board representative on the AICA Operating Team responsible for the development of its marketing strategy, which included the newly launched website www.aoica.org.
