Spectrum Corporate Finance has successfully advised the shareholders of Brand View Limited (“Brand View”) on the sale of the company to global specialist information company, Ascential plc.
Based in Reading, Berkshire, and with offices in Stamford, Connecticut (USA), and Paris (France), Brand View is a leading global provider of Price and Promotion analytics to retailers and manufacturers. Founded in 2008, Brand View offers data and analysis to retailers and manufacturers to allow them to measure and manage pricing and promotion activity and drive sales, across both off-line and on-line market places.
Spectrum acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Brand View, project managing every stage of the transaction.
Brand View joins existing Ascential ecommerce brands One Click Retail, Clavis Insight and Planet Retail RNG, to form new integrated brand Edge by Ascential. The acquisition of Brand View broadens Ascential's eCommerce data and insights offering, adding a highly complementary service (Price and Promotion) to the existing specialisms of Sales & Share and Digital Shelf currently provided by One Click Retail and Clavis Insight. Edge by Ascential provides accurate and actionable sales-driving data, insights and advisory solutions for global brands and retailers looking to succeed in today’s ecommerce-driven world – further helping Ascential’s customers to win in the digital economy.
Brand View Founding directors Daniel Burton and Chris Thomas will exit the business following an initial period of consultancy during the integration. Company President Bruce Dove will remain with the business and lead Brand View as it embarks on its next chapter.
