Ed is a Director of Corporate Finance, and Head of TMT (Technology, Media and Telecoms) at Spectrum. Ed’s primary areas of expertise include software, IT services, data and analytics, information services and marketing services.
Previously UK Head of TMT and Director of M&A Advisory at KPMG, Ed is a senior and respected Corporate Finance professional with more than 17 years’ experience. Ed’s experience ranges from multi-billion-pound international blue-chips, to small, owner managed businesses. In addition, he has significant cross-border, private equity and growth capital experience, and an extensive network within both the TMT industry and with investors in the UK, Europe and US. In his role at KPMG, Ed was the primary point of contact in the UK for KPMGs international TMT M&A network.
Ed has advised on many notable TMT deals during his career, including the sale of Random42 to Graphite Capital, the sale of Precise Media to WPP and Zinc Ahead's growth equity investment from Accel-KKR. Ed has also worked with several public companies in the sector, including Experian and Sharp.
Just prior to joining Spectrum, Ed advised Concentra Analytics, the creator of Software as a Service (“SaaS”) data solutions used to visualise, model and track business operations, on a £41m growth equity raise through One Peak Partners, with participation from investors including Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.
Ed is based in Spectrum’s London office, where he is supported by the rest of the Director team.
Outside of working hours, Ed spends much of his time being a Dad to two young and very energetic boys. When time permits, Ed enjoys running and following most sports, including being a keen Southampton FC supporter.
